Twilight- I just finished them all

200px-twilight_saga_collectionYou can call me what you want…I would never read this sort of literature under most circumstances, but so many people told me I had to read these books I started reading them. I fell in love. As you progress through the books  your anticipation to know just how it all will end becomes pretty unbearable…I was not able to stop reading from the day that I started them.

The books in question are the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, of which a full length movie released in December and all of the books are bestsellers. There are four books in the series; Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. The books follow a teen Bella Swan as she moves to live with her father in the small town of Forks, Washington. Without giving anything away, Bella falls in love with Edward Cullan–who just happens to be a Vampire…but there are so many details throughout the books and twists and turns …you just have to read it.
Romance is not normally my thing, I would rather read LaVey or Crowley any day…but this book just got me…once I read the first chapter of Twilight I was hooked. Stephenie has a gift for getting into the minds and emotions of the characters and making you feel those same emotions as you read. There were times when I felt all the anticipation, joy, anger, lust etc that all of the characters displayed as the story progressed….The reading experience was excellent and I reccomend this series to anyone that just likes to read, no matter what genre.

Don’t let the fact that this is a Teen Vampire Romance series discourage you from enjoying this series…check out the books ASAP!

Anyway, I was really pleased at how the last book ended, and I look forward to seeing if Stephenie will continue the series with the 5th book which is currently on hold.

My next reading project that I am considering is going through the book by Lee Strobel titled The Case for Christ…I have to see how much of it is analytical and how much is based on supposed fact before I commit to it, but if it is worth the time I will be going through the text to debunk it if possible.

Has anyone read the books?

What do you think?

no spoilers please
